Hey guys, as you know, I like to write fanfics, and mainly Sonic fanfics. I have an ongoing series in the works at the moment that involves Sonic's little buddy Miles "Tails" Prower being in the spotlight, but it's not always what it's cracked up to be as the leader of the team. Note that these are just fan-made stories and all Sonic property belongs to their respected owners SEGA and Sonic Team. I just write these stories for the sake of entertainment. I want to entertain the fans. I try whatever I can to get the readers interested in my stories.

How far will I stretch this series? Only time will tell, really. I'd love to stretch this series out as far as I possibly can, as much as the time I have will let me. I'm an avid fan of Tails, and some of the things I write "might" be accurate ideas of what the future events will be for him. I'm planning on making spin-offs and more sequel fanfics. I might have crossovers planned, but I'll have to really dig into the drawing board there.

Hello again,

I've been going over countless fanfics, and it seems to me that whenever you make up a new fan-character, whether it's for the Sonic universe or not, you need to be able to do the following:

1) Give your fan-character a good personality. The job of your fan-character is to entertain the reader. There needs to be something likeable about him/her...something compelling and interesting enough for him/her that will make the reader pay attention to that character, and won't say "Okay, whatever." A boring fan-character is not entertaining. You got to give your story some spice.

2) Your fan-character needs a gimmick attached to him/her. What can he/she do? What type of character is he/she? What are his/her abilities? Why is this character even in the story to begin with? What's the main goal of your fan-character? What does he/she set out to do? It varies if your character is a hero, anti-hero, or villain.

3) Interaction with other characters. Your fan-made characters need to interact with already established characters or other fan-characters in a good way, and it can't feel like they're so out of place with the others. It's gotta mesh well. Fit your characters in with the (in this case Sonic's) universe, and make it believable.

4) Comedy. Readers love the funny stuff! They just do. Make sure that you at least add alittle bit of comedy in your stories. That keeps things easy going in some parts, and that adds to the entertainment. Be innovative with your jokes, and come up with new jokes all the way through. Don't try to bring up the same jokes over and over again, or they won't be as funny.

5) Don't feel isolated. Use your imagination! If there's something out there in the world of fanfics that you know that has never been used, then by all means, use it! Add that new spice into your stories, because that's what draws more readers in. This is to entertain the readers. This is for fun, so have fun when you're writing. Enjoy what you do and come up with a list of interesting things to put in your stories.

That's it for now. You can post comments if you would like. I appreciate it.
